This project is regarding ID's and controlling access to the banks systems. Skills with IAM and SAS is preferred. 
Candidate will prepare files for scans and send to another team to run the scan on the ID's. This team will send back the results for data analysis and will apply business rules particularly around regulations (ie GLBA) The candidate will be analytical and a critical thinker with the ability to look beyond just following directions. Basic knowledge of MF, Unix and AD platforms is idea

Client has implemented a discovery process to scan the production environment looking for Generic IDs on all certified platforms. Although continuous improvements are being made to the process, a significant portion of it is still comprised of manual data analysis, file formatting, data research and building load files. The associated data continues to grow significantly. The Discovery Data Analyst should look at this data holistically and execute a predefined, if largely manual process to turn inbound scan data into useful inserts and updates to the Generic ID inventory database. • Organize and interpret inbound data sets in several formats (HTML, Excel, etc) and prepare for discovery analysis phase, per documented processes • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and other referential data systems • Complete a standardized set of Analysis, Comparison and formatting tasks to bucket data appropriately for update to the central repository. • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present in useful formats • Initiate requests for manual data as required, and follow to closure • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing data and performance indicators to locate and correct problems • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities • Seek and recommend continuous improvement to both predefined documented processes as well as automated analytical processes • Build relationships with secondary and referential data owners to improve overall quality of these data systems at the bank Job Requirements • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS etc). Expert in Excel. • Expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques • Strong technical understanding of application computing systems infrastructure and architecture • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information. • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings • Critical Thinking - Data analysts must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings. • Attention to Detail: Data is precise. Data analysts have to make sure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions. • Strong estimation skills. • Strong organizational skills • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team • Knowledge of GRC Archer, it’s data structure and data design a plus .
