Technical Support Analyst (111419)

Description:   This position will primarily focus is on client desktop systems deployment and administration, mobile device and print management, in person and phone support, and personal solutions consulting.  May participate in project implementation, technical training and knowledge management, and security administration.   Requires outstanding customer service skills, versatility and breadth of technical skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the ability to take ownership where appropriate, and the ability to help teams and projects successfully accomplish their objectives. Applies knowledge of Microsoft and Apple products, ITIL methodology, change management and risk management processes, network and telecom troubleshooting, routers, TCPIP, firewalls, VPNs, and Voice services. Uses and updates Support Ticketing System.
 
Responsibilities: The Windows Migration Support Technician will be responsible for supporting our Active Directory consolidation effort, by assisting in the migration of a number of school Active Directory domains into a single Enterprise Active Directory domain.
 
The Windows Migration Support Technician should have subject matter expertise in the following domains: Windows 7, 8, 10.
 
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Windows OS upgrades, AD consolidation projects)
- Experience with migration tools (e.g. Quest Migration Manager, Binary Tree, ADMT, etc.)
- Strong expertise of working within complex Windows environments and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures and processes
- Understanding of business pains and technical solutions in consolidating Active Directory instances
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues related to mapped drives, ACLs
- Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
 
Strong expertise in:
- A proven track record of executing on successful Active Directory migrations for customers, prospects, or clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects
- Self-motivated, directed and passionate
- Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
- Positive attitude towards change and ability to adapt
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of management as well vendors and customers
- Well-proven time management skills while remaining flexible in responding to changing company and/or client needs
