Responsible for providing hands-on support and maintenance for mission critical, high availability database and application server environment.
Education/Experience: Bachelor degree in an IT-related discipline - preferred. 2-4 years of experience with systems maintenance in a large organization providing 24x7 production support and maintenance of mission critical databases.
Skills and Competencies: Backup and recovery of Oracle and Sybase databases. Unix Shell Scripting Skills - Bourne or Korn shell is required. Strong analytical capabilities and organizational skills. Ability to quickly learn new systems, and business processes. Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities. Must have a strong command of the English language written and oral. Demonstrated troubleshooting experience in fine-tuning hardware, software, application and server performance issues in high-pressure situations. Proven track record in leading enterprise initiatives and making recommendations. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical hands-on data support, maintenance and oversight. Ensures data management layer is kept up to date in product lifecycle. Plans and executes upgrades of system infrastructure as required. Maintain appropriate fault-tolerant data management posture and formulate recommendations for improvement as needed. Keeps abreast of new technologies and maintain industry knowledge. Perform other duties as assigned.
 
This position is responsible for providing second level Unix User Administration support for the Citizens Distributed IT Security team. Escalation of issues and more technical aspects of the job are required by this resource. Extensive knowledge of UNIX Security for AIX/Solaris/LINUX and Active Directory Integration with Unix is required to provide technical expertise to both the internal/external departments within the organization. Incumbent will be instrumental in the delivery of Distributed IT Security services that align with Technology Services direction • 5-7 years professional experience, preferably in a financial services environment • Minimum of 5 years IT Risk or Information Security experience, preferably in a large corporate environment • Well versed in UNIX security architecture • Proven service and delivery capability / focus • Proven experience with highly complex risk issues in a technology environment and appropriate mitigation strategies. • Knowledgeable on the regulatory requirements that impact the business lines that TSA supports (i.e. GLBA, SOX, PCI) • Clear understanding of CoBIT and ITIL Frameworks • Proven ability to influence and gain trust at senior management levels in multi-cultural environments • Ability to manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement • Extensive knowledge of US regulatory requirements as they pertain to Distributed I Security • Collaborate effectively with other technical teams to improve business processes

Works closely with the Information Security Team and the Information Systems department to assure compliance with State and Federal laws and organizational policies and standards. Oversees the interpretation, development, and implementation of complex information security solutions. Performs Security Audits and creates Security Checklists. Provides protocol analysis using in-depth knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, H323, SIP, etc. Performs UNIX, Perl and NT scripting. Provides technical direction and implementation support for internal systems. Provides systems documentation using Visio and MS Project. Performs troubleshooting on hardware, IPSEC, LAN/WAN network, and Security issues. Performs vulnerability assessments on networks and systems. Makes recommendations for improving security and can implement those recommendations. Recommends standards and policies governing the security of firewall and IDS development, deployment, and operation. Enforces best practices surrounding security incident response. Perform other duties as assigned.
